Stefanie Sun was outed by fellow singer-songwriter Han Hong during her Beijing concert on Oct. 7, 2025.

Han revealed that Sun, who was a special guest at the concert, had been anonymously donating over 10 million yuan (S$1.82 million) over 10 years.

This included a 2 million yuan (S$364,620) donation earlier this year for flood disaster victims.

She had donated anonymously to Han's charity fund, which engages in "medical, education and disaster relief" projects across China.

According to South China Morning Post, her donations have helped countless impoverished children in China.

Despite having given to the charity for a decade, Han revealed that it was only recently that she had agreed to come out publicly about her donations.

Han said Sun had always instructed the charity not to write down her name on the donation list, but Han insisted that good people and their good deeds deserve to be promoted.

Sun later praised Han for her own charitable deeds.

She also said that while she was happy to have supported Han's fund, the amount she donated was less than S$1.82 million.
