Singaporean comedian Kumar has announced a new show, "Vote Kumar".

It will run for two weeks, from April 8 to 18 at the Esplanade Theatre.

This will be Kumar's eighth show at the Esplanade Theatre since his 2007 debut, "Kumar the Queen". His most recent show, "Kumar 50", in conjunction with his 50th birthday in 2018, was held at the Capitol Theatre.

Promotional material for the show appears to play off both Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan, as well as our very own electoral process.

Gerek means to make something "fun".

The show appears to feature Kumar as a candidate from the "Singapore Non-Stop Action Party", who can represent "every Tom, Dick (but maybe not Harry)".

A veteran in the entertainment industry, Kumar has been performing for over three decades and is known for his irreverent, and often risqué stand-up comedy routines.

Currently, Kumar also performs "The Kumar Show" at Canvas, a club in Clarke Quay, as part of their "Comedy at Canvas" series.
