An internal email circulated among DBS colleagues on Feb. 12 revealed that a new case of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection has been confirmed.

The email said a confirmed case was detected in Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) Tower One on Feb. 9 and another infected patient was confirmed from DBS Asia Central at MBFC Tower 3 on Level 43 on Feb. 12.

As a precautionary measure, all 300 staff members on Level 43 have been evacuated and they will be working from home for the time being.

Contact tracing is carried out and those who have been in close contact with the infected staff member are informed.

The office premises will also be deep cleansed, which includes common areas such as the lift lobbies and toilets.

The email emphasised that the health and well-being of the staff remains a top priority.

The company also promised to provide support for those who are on Leave of Absence, such as receiving basic grocery packs and daily check-ins by the human resource team.

Medical helpline and virtual doctors are also made available for all staff members.
