Update: According to an update by Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd on Feb. 3, the suspected novel coronavirus case received by Raffles Medical Clinic at HarbourFront Centre has been tested negative and the patient has since been discharged from hospital.

A suspected case of the Wuhan novel coronavirus was supposedly spotted at HarbourFront Centre's Raffles Medical Clinic today (Jan. 31).

Separately, tenants of HarbourFront Centre received a letter from the Property Management of HarbourFront Centre, confirming that a suspect case was received by Raffles Medical Centre at the third floor at 11:47am today.

When Mothership called the point of contact listed in the letter, the individual at the other end declined to speak to the media, but said that a letter was indeed sent to tenants.

Calls to MapleTree Investments Pte Ltd's reception number went unanswered.

The letter stated that the clinic was closed immediately and the patient, as well as her companions, were isolated in the clinic until their transfer to a hospital ambulance.

HarbourFront Centre's Mall Management team facilitated the movement of the patient and her companion to the pick-up point via a designated route which minimised exposure of the patient to the public.

Personal protective equipment was used when moving the patient.

The mall also increased the frequency of cleaning of common areas. It conducts twice-daily temperature taking and has distributed face masks to all service providers and staff based on site.

Mothership is trying to reach MapleTree Investments to confirm that their mall received a suspected case.
